Fits N14 & N18 Engines.  With age the rubber on the wheel will wear and start to crack.  This can cause slippage from the friction wheel and also lead to noise from the drive belt. (By disengaging the friction wheel tensioner you can test for a worn pulley as starting your MINI with it disengaged will elimnate the noise and rengaging the tensioner will bring back the noise).

Cupping of rubber on the metal tensioner wheel can indicate a failing tensioner.  Often best to replace both if your MINI has high milage.
